Velammal is a 2021 Indian historical fiction television show that aired on Vijay TV from 12th April 2021. The show is based on the life of Rani Velu Nachiyar, She was the first Indian queen to wage war with the East India Company in India. It stars Krithika Khelge, Muktha, Vignesh, Ambika, Reshma Pasupuleti and Sampath Ram. The show is produced by Deepak Dhar's Banijay Asia.

Story

The show is based on the life of Rani Velu Nachiyar (3rd January 1730 – 25th December 1796) was a queen of Sivaganga estate from c.1780–1790. She was the first Indian queen to wage war with the East India Company in India. She is known by Tamil as Veeramangai.
