Surendar Shanmugam is an Indian film and television actor. He made his debut as a film actor in Thuninthu Sel and has continued acting in lead roles in Meera Jaakirathai and Pagadi Aattam. Surendar is best known for his role as Surya in the TV series Oviya in Colors Tamil.

Surendar Shanmugam was born on 29th May 1992 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The age of Vishal has been 28 years old as in 2020. He finished his secondary education at Grace Matriculation Higer Secondary School, Chennai. He did his bachelors in Visual Communication from DG Vaishnav College, Chennai. Career
Surendar Shanmugam is a Indian Actor, who is working in film and television industry. His first appeared as an actor by playing the lead role in KS Rajan's production venture Ilamai Naatkal in 2011. Featuring in an ensemble cast including Ramu, the film ran into production troubles and did not have a theatrical release. Surendar made his acting debut in the Tamil film "Thuninthu Sel" along with Hanna Bella, directed by Lena Moovender and produced by S Madasamy. His next appearance was in RG Kesavan's horror film Meera Jaakirathai (2016), where she portrayed a lead role. Surendar will make his debut as the Antagonist in TS Kumar's production venture, Pagadi Aattam co-starring Rahman and Monica Chinnakotla, where he Antagonist a character Surya. Surendar became popular and successful after playing the lead role, as Surya, in Oviya, which aired in Colrs Tamil. Since then, he is also recognized as Surya. Surendar currently doing the leading part In Thirumagal serial along with Harika at Sun TV.
